2/11 Ironton 64 VS Rock Hill 52 - FINAL

Even worse Coal Grove probably didn’t make it past Oak Hill till about 9:30.

Also just wanted to say to all of us who were mad because we was told it was a split sesion, 1 ticket got you in both games. LOL!!! Thank You Jackson!!!

I just got a call from The Educator and she has been stuck at Decator (spelling) since about 9:55. They had to turn back around and at almost 11, they were back at Oak Hill. They will be another 2 hours or so getting home. If the Ironton fans are having a hard time getting home, I hate it for Coal Grove. She heard 93 was being shut down.

I told her to let us know when they get home.
Took the Dog and I an Hour and a half to get back home. The roads were bad untill we hit Ptown then they wernt so bad. Congrats to Ironton on the win.[/quote:3d56tuqu]
You probably went 23 and 32, didn’t you? So add another 30-45 minutes to get on to Ironton. How long would it have normally taken you to make that trip given daylight and fair weather?

Yes we did take 32 to 23 and down. The roads were bad. We made it up there in about 35 mins.

There was a wreck on 93 at vernon hill… traffic was stopped for nearly 2 hours…left jackson right after Ironton/Rockhill game and got to Ironton at 11:00…roads were being salted and appeared much better after the stop…traffic started moving abput 10:20 if Educator had just held out a liitle longer

Just got home(finally) We sat in traffic for almost 2 hours, there was a van that ran off the road about halfway up Vernon hill and the State Patrol would not let any traffic through until they cleared the scene.

Now on to the game :-D G-r-e-a-t game by the Tigers.Pressure Defense was the name of the game tonight. I thought everyone played together as a team tonight.Nick Lewis had a great game, on the boards as well as 11 points. He hit some key free throws and hustled all game long.Everyone really played well.

I couldnt drive "safely" faster then 35 to 40 miles an hour on 32,and I had 3 or 4[b:1q21vm6m] IDIOTS[/b:1q21vm6m] [/size:1q21vm6m]fly past me at 65 -70 miles an hour..you could not see any of the road at all,and underneath was nothing but a sheet of ice

[u:2rmc6n7k]Tell me how the RH score went from 16 to 20 on 1 FT and then back to 19?
A major "audio" malfunction - was it Jason’s vocal or my hearing problem??[/quote:2rmc6n7k][/u:2rmc6n7k]

THANK YOU!

I kept telling ozzie the score was wrong or something, at one point Ironton was up 25 to 20,I said its a 5 point game..I look up again , and it is 27 to 19?

Glad to hear from some of you that you are safely home. Crummy, crummy night to have to be out on the road.
Hats off to all the Ironton, Rock Hill, and Coal Grove fans who braved the elements to make the trip up to Jackson tonight to support their teams.

Great job tonight Tigers!!! Way to play as a team. Everyone did a great job.
Hope Timmy is OK. He kind of took a beating there in the last few seconds of the game..

I was really impressed with Butler from Rock Hill. He had several great shots. Wondered why they didn’t try to get him the ball more.

Good luck Tigers Friday night against the Pointers…play hard.

Yes I left Jackson at 7:55 and got stuck in Decatur around 8:55. Sat in traffic until about 10 something and we turned around and came back thru Portsmouth. I was worried the whole time cause the hubby had my son, 2 of his friends, and my dad and we didn’t have phone service to talk to each other. But thank God everyone got home OK.

Thanks itownpaw for calling and giving me the good news that we have our snow day tomorrow

GO TIGERS BEAT THOSE POINTERS!!!

My pictures of this game are up:

Hey - the OHSAA website - Div III, Athens Region, Athens 1 District bracket shows "Ironton Rock Hill" as the winner of this game and the opponent of South Point Friday night. How do we get OHSAA to correct that?[/quote:2ap7b7vz]

Shhhhh. Just lay low, be quiet and let Rock Hill play S.P. Friday night and you just move quietly on to next week. They can’t kick you out if you don’t lose.
