Any local teams going to be in the Rio Grande tourney ?

Just wondering?

Symmes Valley 5th & 6th grade Boys and 6th grade Girls are going to be in it.

I know the 6th grade girls Fairland #2 team is entered to play in the tournament.

I would like to congratulate the Jackson 3rd and 4th grade boy’s team on finishing in 1st place. I must include the 2nd grader also. The team consisted of 2 fourth, 6 third and 1 second grader. A great team effort.

They went 5 and 0 to win the tournament.

The teams from Gallipolis, Rio Grande and Coal Grove are to be congratulated also on a fine tournament.

Does anyone have the results for the girls championships? thanx

It was a great tourney for the four teams that matched up in the boys 3rd-4th grade division. I believe all the games were fairly close. I watched several of these games and watched a great game between #1 seed and tourney champ Jackson and #4 seed Rio Grande. Rio came close to pulling the upset, but Jackson made some key free throws when Rio was forced to foul. Both teams are to be congratulated along with Gallipolis and Coal Grove.
