Actually the good news is for Canal Winchester. They would have to see Dunbar in the Regionals. However, CJ is a very good team. They played Dunbar to a standoff (OT I believe) earlier this year.

Benson is probably the only big that could slow B.J. Muellens and force B.J. to play D. Still a tough Region, but Canal may be the favorite to come out.

GO CAVS!!!

If one were to go by the AP rankings, this is good news for Cavaliers fan. But the rankings are annually overhyped…anybody familiar with Chaminade-Julienne knows that the Eagles have been a solid program for years…2 time state champion…but they seemed to have been overshadowed for many years by Dunbar and Alter…

It doesn’t necessarily make things any easier for Canal Winchester…the Dayton Regional most years is tougher than the Athens regional…their winners have advanced to the state title game and have won it(Kettering Alter) where the Athens regional winner has had quite a drought of getting past the state semifinal.

But Chillicothe has an EXCELLENT chance of breaking that streak.

Obviously other then for kids (and our) memories, we through the rankings out. Dunbar coming out opens it up for Alter and others (including Canal). Not sure if Canal chose to go to Fairborn/Dayton instead of Bowling Green (Libbey #1 threat) or they got sent there after DeSales and Eastmoor went to BG. However, CW has to feel better (I would) that Dunbar is out. With their recent State run history, it is probably more of a mental thing then any. The Kettering Alter jagurnut that I followed while in college is still a power house.

GO CAVS!!!
