???
The eighth grade team will have one year of Jr. High football experience behind them. The seventh grade team, however, will be extremely young.
Just wondering how the 7th grade team will be any younger than any other year. Everyone has to start at the bottom and work their way up the ladder. The 7th grade team coming in this year has a really good group of boys with a lot of heart. I hope they stick together all the way through high school. They’re not too bad on the field either.

(cough) Coal Grove!!

Heard they got a new coach? Wondered why, the other coach seemed like
he did a real nice job.
He moved up to the high school this year. The new coach is the old 7th grade coach. he’s a really good guy too.
the old coach moved up to coach his sons in jv and freshman to make sure they get to play. this situation is not a good one and don’t understand why the head coach allowed this to happen. time will tell.
Well anyway good luck, and we’ll see you the 22nd at your place.
Rico, I could see why you’d be upset with something like this, but Coach Barrett was an awesome middle school coach and I just feel like he shouldn’t be villanized for this. He’s a great guy and he cares about his players. I mean this guy is capable of being a high school-level head coach anyway and the foundation he laid in the middle school has turned out some very good players for the high school. He has earned the right to decide what’s best for him. JMHO.
Good luck Coach Barrett. Good luck to the junior high Hornets. . .
just heard that Coach Barrett got the Jr High principal job and isn’t going to be coaching at the high school level after all.

7th and 8th grades were both very good and big in size for CG. You guys should
have a great season up there. Always a good scrimmage with tough players.
Very professional staff, and awsome field, thanks for having us and see you
guys next year.
Thanks for the compliments West SidePride. You have a good looking team (8th and 7th) this year as well. Good luck with your upcoming season.
