Wellston let Jackson know they would no longer be playing in basketball, after ending the football matchup. Jackson will now not be playing Wellston in any sport. Spring sports probably but nothing after that.
It’s over.

Give it a few years. You will be back drinking Ski together
It’s not you… Wellston just feels like it was tied down really young and now it wants to see other people. Be patient, Wellston will be back once it learns more about itself.
I said all along if Jackson wasn’t good enough to play in football Jackson wasn’t good enough in any sports. So this is no surprise to me. If the golden rockets think getting out of yearly week drummin by the Ironmen and substituted Oak Hill thinking they are they ones gonna be getting a week 1 victory year in year out is far from true. OAk Hill moved up to SOCII play and were very competitive in their first year. Yes wellston improved tremendously in year one of mike smith. But to think the golden rockets got out of the Ironmens way to get in the way of the Oaks for week 1 Ws don’t be suprised if they still find theirselves 0-1 more than 1-0. Now minus the big gates the Fighting Ironmen bring with them.
I thought that Wellston traditionally did better in basketball than Jackson? Or am I off on that?
Traditionally yes, but the Jackson basketball program has been trending up for the past few years and I don’t think Wellston has brought much to the hardwood since coach Derrow passed away.
Nope not at all. I don’t have the numbers but I’ve watched since the mid 80’s and I’d guess Wellston is leading the series since then.
