Local No Kill Animal Shelter Needs Your Support

This shelter needs any support you can give it.

If you live in the Ironton area and have something for them but don’t want to travel to Portsmouth, I will be happy to take it to them.

They have been asking for blankets, sheets, towels, etc. lately.

Thanks!

i’ll see how i can help. i’ve got 7 pets, all but 1 a stray.

I appreciate your response, YTB.

I know most people have old blankets, towels or sheets around that they can donate.

I do what I can to help them out.

I can’t really volunteer time there because I am allergic to cats, dogs & basically most animals.

So, I help them with donations.

wish I could help you out.. I just donated a lot of blankets and stuff to a family whose furnace wasn’t working well … also a lot of shelters accept donations of food does this one.. that is something else this area does.. good luck!!

Yes, they accept food donations.

for those that don’t have those items maybe they can do that… its so sad to see those critters there…

Yes, it is sad to see them in shelters.

The Sierra Haven’s people do a really good job taking care of them.

I had called Sierra Haven’s 2 different times, because we had stray dogs come around pregnant. I called to see if they would take the puppies. I am here to tell you, they were very hateful to me and my daughter. All we asked was if they would take them, and boy did we heard a mouth full. All they had to say was that they were sorry, but they were full. I know they do a good thing there, but all we did was call them about taking some puppies. I hope they get some people to donate to this good cause.

Yes, I know they are full most of the time.

As for being rude, I have never experience that from them.

I am sorry you did.

If they had the money, I am sure they would expand it to include many more animals.
