As previously announced, schools’ divisional assignments for the upcoming 2021-22 school year will remain the same as the 2020-21 school year in all sports.

In all sports, coaches have an unlimited number of days from June 1 through July 31 to conduct voluntary conditioning, strength training, and instructional opportunities. In football, helmets may be worn during summer voluntary sessions.

Also in the sport of football, there is a mandatory five-day acclimatization period for all student-athletes prior to contact. Two of those days can be completed in July so that shoulder pads can be worn on the first day of practice August 1.

A lot of running clock games in the first two rounds in Region 19.

West Jefferson to 23

DI nearly everyone is a playoff participant. Literally! The days of earning anything are gone.

Not true !

The OHSAA is going to earn every penny from it! :joy:

Forever wondering how the region lines are drawn up

I know. There are 2 schools in Ross county that are in different regions but are in the same division. Southeastern is in 23, Adena is in 24. But let’s put Loudonville in the southern region :unamused: A team that is closer to the Northeastern part of the state.

Could be worse few years ago Fort Frye and Trimble was in Northeast Region.

Thats what I’m trying to understand is Ross County teams… how does West Jeff make it to region 23 but Huntington, PV or even Adena is in region 24? Just doesn’t make much sense to me.

West Jefferson supposed to be pretty good they wanted to even it out. Would of loved to see Adena vs Fort Frye.

2020 Adena vs FF would have been a good game, not this season. Adena lost a lot to graduation, probably looking at 4-6 this year.
