[quote:hs2v7w5e]In 2002, the district’s enrollment was 1,088, but had dropped to 1,056 by 2005 and to 1,046 by 2006, according to data provided by district officials. In 2007, the district had an enrollment of 1,004, which dropped to 989 in 2008.

[quote:hs2v7w5e]According to information from the district, 62 students are registered for kindergarten next school year[/quote:hs2v7w5e]
Trimble might rival Waterford for lowest enrollment if these trends continue. That just goes to show how bad the economy is around here. If you want to have a chance at life, you are almost forced to leave the region.
Even if things leveled off now and each class had around 62 students from now on, by the time next years kindergarten class are seniors, the district would have an enrollment down to 806 students. And that is assuming it was ready to level off, and the lower grades could have even fewer students by then meaning enrollment would be even less than 806.
Something has to be done about the economy.
